<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The review article presents the scientific substantiation of the prospective direction of research of the intestinal microbiota and its role in the formation of various neurological pathologies. Reflected information about the enteral nervous system, which has direct relevance in the interaction between the brain and intestines. The study of the intestinal microbiota is currently carried out using modern methods of metagenomics, sequencing and bioinformation analysis. Data are presented on the formation of functional digestive disorders in children with altered intestinal microbiota and the ways of correction are determined.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>кишечная микробиота</kwd><kwd>нервная система</kwd><kwd>энтеральная нервная система</kwd><kwd>функциональные расстройства органов пищеварения</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>intestinal microbiota</kwd><kwd>nervous system</kwd><kwd>enteral nervous system</kwd><kwd>functional disorders of digestive organs</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Wolke D, Rizzo P, Woods S.
